Survey open until 11th November
The Soak Up Lambeth programme aims to reduce flood risk for Lambeth residents and businesses by installing sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) around the borough. SuDS features like rain gardens or swales can:
- reduce flood risk
- reduce pollution
- support biodiversity
- cool the local area during heatwaves
- provide opportunities for incidental and natural play
William Bonney Estate has been selected as part of this programme. Take the survey to have your say on the proposals!

Survey on initial proposals
Following site investigations and the drop-in session at William Bonney Estate on 18th September, the landscape architects and engineers have drawn up initial proposals for sustainable drainage systems on the estate. These show options for what could go where. We unfortunately cannot afford to implement all the options identified, so it's important you help us shape your estate by letting us know which ones you'd like to see come to life!
Good sustainable drainage systems should have benefits for flood risk, water quality, biodiversity and the local community. You'll notice we've split the estate into four zones - the proposed features in each zone should work well together to achieve all of these benefits. Take the survey to have your say.
