Tackling Poverty Action Plan

Lambeth Council is committed to tackling deprivation in the borough, and making sure fewer local children grow up in poverty. As a borough of equity and justice tackling these issues are key in ensuring everyone in Lambeth can thrive.

In response the council is updating its approach to reducing poverty, financial insecurity and debt in our borough. It builds on work carried out during the cost-of-living crisis and during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Resident involvement is crucial in ensuring we get this right. So the council wants to hear from residents about their concerns relating to poverty, their experiences of accessing support and what they would like to see from a fresh approach to tackling the issue.

Developing Lambeth's approach to tackling poverty

16 December 2024 - 20 January 2025

We are keen to hear from all Lambeth residents, especially who are directly impacted by the drivers of poverty, including low pay, insecure housing and poor health, and are aiming to secure a wide range of perspectives to make sure we get this right, and are able to make a real difference as a borough.

The survey will be open until Monday 21 January and we look forward to hearing your ideas.
