Stockwell Gardens Healthy Neighbourhood Timeline
We are excited to announce that we will be using this platform to keep you updated on the latest news, events, and activities regarding the Stockwell Gardens Healthy Neighbourhood. Stay tuned for upcoming updates and event announcements. Let’s engage and build our community together!
Phases
Healthy Neighbourhood Trial
Once the trial is live, there is a 6-month period for objections which can be made via our platform AppyWay.
We will consider all feedback submitted during the six months objection period in full, this will help inform the decision on whether the trial becomes permanent. We will provide a clear timeline for sharing your views, ensuring your voice is heard.
Alongside the statutory objection period, we will talk to residents, businesses, and community groups to hear about their experiences with the trial. We want to know if the changes are making it easier, safer, and more enjoyable to walk, wheel, scoot, or cycle through the neighbourhood. If we decide to make changes to the trial based on feedback and monitoring, the six-month period for objections will start again from the day those changes are made. However, the trial will still last for the same total time (18 months maximum).
Monitoring the Trial
What we monitor, when, and for how long will depend on the objectives of the Healthy Neighbourhood. While the trial is running, we collect data which can be compared to the pre-trial data allowing us to see if, and how, the trial has achieved these objectives as per our Healthy Neighbourhoods Delivery Framework.
What happens after the statutory consultation?
After the 6 months of public feedback and trial data are collected, along with input from focused discussions, these will be used to make recommendations to the Cabinet Member for Sustainable Transport, Environment, and Clean Air.
Within 18 months of the experimental traffic order starting, a decision will be made about whether the changes from the Healthy Neighbourhood trial will stay or be removed.
The Cabinet Member will make the final decision about the future of the scheme, and a report explaining the decision and recommendations will be shared during or after the trial.
