Consultation on initial proposals
Representatives of the council and Breeze Landscape Architects, who are designing the SuDS scheme, ran a drop-in session at St. Anselm's Court on the 30th May 2024 to get input from residents of the estate and local area. Thank you to all those who came to speak to us and gave us valuable feedback.
Following this round of consultation in May 2024, the council have listened to the feedback received, and revised the rain garden proposals as follows:
• Raingarden positions within the central space have been revised to be outside of leaseholder plot boundaries.
• The areas of open space within the central communal space have been preserved as existing.
• There was broad support for the rain gardens located adjacent to Madeira Road (Rain gardens A to E) and these have been retained in the updated design.
The council are now developing the detailed designs, and propose to construct the works in Spring 2025.
