The renewal of South Lambeth Estate
South Lambeth estate is a Lambeth Council estate in Oval consisting of over 142 homes arranged in a mix of low and high-rise buildings.
The estate which was identified as needing to be renewed to bring the homes up to a the standard that residents deserve now and for the future has an approved masterplan already.
Due to several new building/planning regulations and inflation, we are reviewing the previous master plan to ensure it can deliver the best value for residents and the Council.
What stage of the renewal process is my estate in?
We know that the best way to deliver affordable homes at South Lambeth is by working with a development partner. We will be starting the selection process for development from Winter 2024 onwards and will update you as to how you can get involved in the process soon.

Estate Improvements
We have been busy making a number of changes on the estate following your concerns.
There is now a cage in Osmington House to protect the intake cupboard following the fire in May and further post- fire work will also start on 23 September.
We have also cleared the overgrown trees on the corner on the estate and would like to remind residents specially dog walkers to adhere to the no dogs sign to ensure that everyone can enjoy the communal play and green areas on the estate.
As a reminder, we run weekly coffee morning in the Wimborne Community Centre on Tuesdays from 11 am – 1 pm where you can discuss any concerns or give us any ideas on activities that you would like to see. You can also contact Kurwahn Coote or Martin Samuda at KCoote@lambeth.gov.uk Msamuda@lambeth.gov.uk/ or 07591434186/0770 269 2041 if you have any questions.
