Roupell Street Healthy Street Improvements

Roupell Street is a popular walking route, historically significant and used for many different purposes, including filming. 

At the same time, a route for west to east through traffic has been identified in the area, using Exton Street, Whittlesey Street, and Roupell Street. 

In order to remove through traffic here, a "no motor vehicles" traffic restriction is proposed on Roupell Street. We are however mindful that any changes to the carriageway, footways and the public realm will have visual impacts as well. As a result, this proposal is subject to change.

We are proposing to:

• Add more tree planting and greening
• Add street furniture like seating
• No through traffic for motor vehicles
• Retain possibility for two-way cycling
