Car Free Day Sunday 29 June

As part of the Prescott Place Reimagined scheme, we are holding a Car Free Day on Prescott Place on 29 June 2025. The road will be closed from 4pm Friday 27 June to 10pm Sunday 29 June. This event will see the road closed to vehicular traffic and opened to pedestrians. The overarching aim is to improve the area as a place to work, live, visit and do business. 

The Car Free Day aims to: 

·      Show how the space can be used in a different way.

·      Provide family friendly activities free of charge to the community.

·      Support local businesses through provision of additional table and chair space. 

Prescott Place will be closed from St Peter’s Church to Clapham High Street. Diversion signs will be posted on the day.

 Event: 12pm – 5pm

·      Family activities and games: Bubble Bike

·      Dr. Bike: a free service and will look at your brakes, tyres, gears and the general road-worthiness of your bike.

·      Tables and chairs in the street from businesses
