Parkthorne Road Street Tree Felling

Dear Residents,

Following investigations as part of Lambeth council’s normal tree management practices, this tree has been conclusively implicated in subsidence related damage to property, and regrettably, will be removed to prevent further damage.

Please note that as part of our policy to not remove healthy trees wherever possible, all other reasonable mitigation measures, such as a crown reduction, were evaluated and in this instance have been deemed unsuitable due to the tree's deteriorating structural condition.

We received two submissions in favour of the felling. We will consider planting a smaller tree from a lower water-demand species in due course.
