This section contains the supporting documents and evidence that accompany the new Lambeth Local Plan. These documents provide additional information about the issues, opportunities and challenges facing Lambeth, and help explain the evidence being used to inform the preparation of the new Lambeth Local Plan.
Reviewing these documents is not required to participate in the consultation, but they may help provide further context when considering the issues raised and responding to the consultation questions.

Physical copies of the documents can be viewed at any Lambeth library during normal opening hours or at the Lambeth Civic Centre by appointment, by emailing planningpolicy@lambeth.gov.uk.
Lambeth Local Plan Scoping Document
The Scoping Consultation is the first stage in preparing the new Lambeth Local Plan. It is an opportunity for residents, businesses, community groups and others to help shape the issues, priorities and evidence that will guide the future of the borough.
The Local Plan is the council’s main planning document.
It provides a long-term vision for how Lambeth should grow, evolve and improve over the coming years. It helps answer important questions about where development should take place, what kinds of places we want to create, and how growth can benefit local communities
This Scoping Document explains the new Lambeth Local Plan process, the purpose of the Scoping Consultation, the themes we are seeking views on, and how your feedback will be used.
We want everyone with an interest in Lambeth's future to take part and share their views.
Lambeth Character Study
As part of the Scoping Consultation, the council is also consulting on the draft Lambeth Character Study. The draft Character Study is an evidence base document that will help inform the preparation of the new Lambeth Local Plan.
It identifies and describes the different character areas across the borough, highlighting the qualities that make each place distinctive, including its buildings, streets, public spaces, landscape and local identity.
The study will help us understand what residents, businesses and communities value about their areas and how future growth and change can respond to local character. As part of the Scoping Consultation, we are seeking views on the draft Character Study to help ensure it reflects people's experiences of Lambeth and provides a strong evidence base for the new Lambeth Local Plan.
