What happens after the statutory consultation?

After the 6 months of public feedback and trial data are collected, along with input from focused discussions, these comments will be used to make recommendations to the Cabinet Member for Sustainable Transport, Environment, and Clean Air.

Within 18 months of the experimental traffic order starting, a decision will be made about whether the changes from the Sainsbury Road Reimagined trial will stay or be removed.

The Cabinet Member will make the final decision about the future of the scheme, and a report explaining the decision and recommendations will be shared during or after the trial.

Please note: the dates shown for this phase are not accurate. Any scheme, including trials, are subject to further design work and decision-makign processes. If a trial is confirmed, this will be communicated with local residents and businesses.
