Croxted Road - Timeline
Phases
Initial Engagement
For each corridor, we collect a range of data to inform our designs. We also use best practice when creating bus priority measures.
For certain corridors where journeys are more straightforward, we produce a concept design for people to feedback on during a Design Engagement phase.
For the more complex corridors, i.e. corridors that also pass through a town centre or cover a significant distance (e.g. Croxted Road), we first organise an Initial Engagement Phase to collect information on people’s journeys and general feedback from stakeholder organisations. This information is then used alongside our other data to create a concept design, which is presented for feedback during the Design Engagement phase.
As part of our engagement, we reach out to local communities to make sure their views are represented. We contact stakeholder organisations like Tenant and Resident Associations, hold discussions with local ward councillors, carry out online engagement and letter drops so that people can stay informed and their feedback taken on board. During the Initial Engagement Phase, we also organise in-person events to collect feedback.
