Brixton Hill LTN Permanent Traffic Order

After considering all the data we have collected, and feedback received during the trial, a decision has been made to make the Brixton Hill LTN scheme permanent.

 

Context

The Brixton Hill Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) trial was designed to make the neighbourhood safer, healthier and more climate resilient. The Brixton Hill LTN trial launched on 4 September 2023 under an Experimental Traffic Order (ETO).

In March 2024 we published data that showed the scheme was meeting the objectives of the Climate Action Plan (CAP) and Transport Strategy and supporting the Lambeth 2030 Borough Plan by reducing traffic overall.


What is happening now?

We have now analysed the consultation responses and data on the impact of the scheme which has informed the decision to make the scheme permanent.

There will be no visible changes to the LTN and how it looks on the ground as a result
