Help us learn about your neighbourhood by sharing your views on the Acre Lane Bus Priority Corridor interactive map.

Some prompts to consider:

  • Where are your current bus journeys impacted?
  • What issues cause delays to your bus journey?
  • What can be done to improve these journeys?
  • What other measures can be taken to improve the overall bus journey experience?
  • How can we improve the area around and to/from bus stops?

Click on the map below where you would like to add a contribution and fill out a short survey. You can do this for as many areas as you like.

Your comments will provide valuable insight and will be used to feed into the Corridor design.

Please note, by default your submission will showcase your name and email address.

To keep your submission anonymous, please select the 'post anonymously' option at the end of the survey.

Remove LTN

Stop double parking of cars here

The congestion on Acre lane is compounded by the closure of the local residential roads to through traffic

Illegal parking by drivers here often slows down buses and blocks access to the cycle lane on Strathleven Road.

The cycle lane alongside the bus route is not safe or secure! If buses are being made a priority, please make bikes too!

You closed others local roads thus forcing more traffic onto Acre Lane. You caused this issue yourselves. Stop.

Provide a safe cycle crossing

The issue with bus journeys is LTNS

All for giving bus priorty but do not close it to cars. You have already moved traffic on to major roads by closing side

Remove LTN’s! They worsen traffic significantly

I use the 35 and 37 and P5 daily. There is no issue with slow buses. The route is very fast for London. Don’t bother

Bus speeds seem ok, but the road is unpleasantwith too much car parking (legal and illegal)

Please consider a cycle/bus only lane near the junction of Brixton Road/Acre lane, in the easterly direction

The pedestrian island near Ashmere Grove

It would be great to see defined cycle paths - plus more greenery (wider pavements, more tree planting, SuDS -

Double parking at this juncture inhiits th view along Acre Lane for on going traffic leaving and entering Acre Lane

Keep the bus lane active (and enforced) on a Sunday.

It is important to ensure a protected cycle lane as well as the bus lane. vehicles go very fast along this stretch.

Remove the LTN's!

Turning onto Acre Lane from King’s Avenue

Since putting so many LTN's in place, the traffic on Acre Lane has been awful, along with pollution. Reduce the traffic.

LTNs, poor junction layouts at Kings Avenue/Acre Lane and Brixton Hill/Acre Lane.

Safety of my kids crossing on green light at Bedford Road

Need to help cyclists across this junction

Remove car parking and leave bus lane clear

Consultation is flawed. Remove the cycle lanes and buses can get through easily. It was fine before that.

Bus/Cycle Dangers

I use the 35 and 37 and I do not find these bus journeys delayed unduly.

There seem to be 3 main problems: parking, excess traffic and junction capacity

Not enough crossings and not in the right place

Illegally Parked cars around end of and into Plato road

Traffic jumping the lights

Fernadale LTN needs to be removed to enable Acre Lane to have less traffic

Almost every time I'm on a bus turning into here the bus is waiting. It should be given traffic priority.

Bus priority is key as morning traffic in rush hour isis terrible . I think the LED bus times on stop Solon road C. Woul

Dedicated protected cycle lane

I was surprised by this. My bus is usually fine. The issues that get in the way are double/triple parking

Very supportive of this, but would love to see protected cycle lanes. Ideally no cars, bikes/buses only

Giving priority to buses is an extremely good idea

Allow residents or permit holders to enter their LTN from Acre lane into Branksome Road

Bus gate here would help buses get to front of queue at traffic lights

Signage

Allow residents access to the LTN via ANPR

Traffic Concerns and Double Parking True Flavours and Solon Road Issues

Try and enforce parking regulations. Lots of double parking. Where are the parking attendants?

The LTNs are the main issue as drivers have no other wag to get to Brixton or Clapham other than via Acre Lane

Arrogant double parking outside True Flavours. We all know there's nothing nothing wrong with buses but prevent parking

Make sure to maintain all LTNs as a minimum measure to move more people away from cars and onto public transport

Illegal parking around Plato, Strathleven, Ballater and in bus lane. Slows buses and makes road dangerous for all users

Businesses in Acre Lane

Get rid of the LTNs, biggest cause. Cycle lanes with traffic lights waste of time, they do not abide and lanes reduced

Double parking

congestion at cross road

Dangerous jucntion for cyclists

Safe crossing for bikes

The LTN's are the main issue this is highlighted when there's roadworks. This was not thought through just implemented

Stop parking in bus lane

Clearly delineated cycle and bus lanes, together with action against double parking, please

Traffic has been awful since the implementation of LTNs. Journey times for all vehicles are terrible. Remove the LTNs.

One action leads to another

LTNs are the issue

Reduce car traffic

Red Coloured Surfacing for Bus Lanes

Consider Lengthening Bus Stops

Enforce LTNs Fairly and Consistently

Make it safe for pedestrians

Flow Improvement in Middle Section (Parade of Businesses)

Tesco Redevelopment Planning

Flow Improvements in Western Section

Too much traffic delays buses, more bus lanes and bus lane priority upheld

Allow residents or permit holders to enter their LTN from Bedford Road into Samdmere road Road
