Jackie 3 months ago This project is much bigger than this, they are building sky scrapers in a small neighbourhood and on a tiny patch of land destroying not only the only car park but also a beautiful synagogue. Goodbye suburb feel - the greed has arrived in Streatham, the houses they are building are shared accommodation and not really affordable, most people don’t earn £75k/year to be able to afford one. Imagine the transient population these would attract - they are not building homes for families, it’s a quick cash grab.They are also cutting off all the mature trees and replacing with cement and ignoring the conservation area. Yes we need more homes but this is crazy overdevelopment and it’s inconsiderate towards all neighbours, it will be years of construction noise, dirt, trucks on an already busy road, more burst pipes!
