Windrush Sq, St Mathews Church: Zero Tolerance on Drugs & ASB Needed
From "Safer streets"
Go to the project
It is shocking that still years on after COVID in Windrush Sq & St Mathew's Church there still issues of druggies:
Doing drugs / dealing drugs
Urinating in public
Leaving litter
Disrespecting the thoughtful memorials i.e. African and Caribbean War Memorial & Cherry Groce Memorial Pavilion (gathering there and leaving litter)
Homeless people sometimes installing tents there
Making it feel unpleasant for residents, people and children waiting at the bus stops and victors to pass by there / hang out there
But moving them on only moves them to use the front entrances of residents in the surrounding area e.g. Effra Road, Mervan Road etc
As this has being going for years Brixton, it really needs a zero tolerance on ASB - day and night
