Weir Road and Cavendish road traffic

This is not just about women and girls - although women and girls tend to be the main users of the pavements here and have to navigate the traffic issues. There has been a significant increase in traffic on Weir Road and Cavendish road since the Atkins rd closure during school hours. Weir road has traffic built back well past where I live (past the business area|). I am unable to easily cross the road to the nursery (on the wandsworth side of cavendish road) and I am terrified one of the little ones will not hear me when walking and are injured by a car or darting motorcycle or bike. It is an awful position be in and feels chaotic and busy given how heightened you need to be to get your children to school and nursery. It wasn't like this before Atkins road was closed; Hydthorpe road closure had some impact, but this is much worse now esp as everyone has to park along cavendish road as well. Trucks also entering the area during school times makes weir road even more crowded and dangerous for everyone.
