Raw Power Arts and Wellbeing – 12-Week Family Creativity & Wellness Programme

Project Overview

Raw Power Arts and Wellbeing is a 12-week community programme running twice a week, designed to nurture creativity, wellbeing, and life skills for children, young people, and parents from diverse backgrounds and abilities. Our mission is to inspire imagination, confidence, and community connection through arts, culture, science, and holistic wellness activities.

Each week offers a blend of creative, physical, and mindful sessions, focusing on developing artistic, practical, and personal skills through hands-on activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and confidence, including:

  • Arts & Crafts: Painting, sketching, and paper-mâché sculpting to inspire creativity and self-expression.
  • Cooking, Baking and eating together: Fun, healthy eating workshops for parents and children, teaching teamwork, nutrition, and independence.
  • Music Tuition: Hands-on lessons in vocals, rhythm, instruments, and group performance.
  • 5-a-Side Chess Club: Building concentration and strategic thinking, with Cambridge University-endorsed certificates and rewards.
  • Library & Reading Time: Encouraging literacy, imagination, and reflective learning.
  • Astronomy & “Weird Science” Workshops: Inspiring curiosity and creativity through discovery-based learning.
  • Intro to fitness, Sports Massage Therapy and holistic healing practices, Supporting parents’ physical health and stress relief.
  • Meditation, Gong & Singing Bowl Sessions: Promoting mindfulness, relaxation, and emotional balance.
