Non-residents parking in private forecourts / driveways

Would you park your car in someone's private driveway / forecourt?

On Effra Road, non-residents are using open access (i.e non gated) private forecourts and driveways to park and go off shopping, go off to work near by, do service work near by, and even leave their cars while on holiday for FREE.

These Non-residents parker are:

*Trespassing: the non-residents while parking there are trespassing

*Create parking issues for residents:

******Take up/occupy valid residents' car spaces

******Park inconveniently / arrogantly causing street access issues

*Littering: often drop litter and ciggy butts out of their car windows - which residents and not the council have to deal with

*Rude: when one politely tells them this is private land and please do not park here, they often become rude / verbally abusive and intimidating

*Dismissive: they don't care they are parking in private land and keep coming defiantly back

Frustrating:

*"Parking on a private driveway without permission in the UK is a civil trespass rather than a criminal offense. Police involvement is rare, clamping or towing the vehicle yourself is illegal, and local councils have no power to remove vehicles parked entirely on private property"

Gating a forecourt - can be difficult to organise such as in my case the Victorian terrace block is owned by a mixture of Lambeth Council, Housing Association and private owners (most of which are unknown)

Gating a driveway - my building considered creating our own gated driveway but with planning permission and ridiculous estimated costs (apparently £30K)

The law should changed. As I still consider this as ASB, I have posted this here
