Motorbikes by nature are not the problem, the problem is the plethora of bikes with illegal exhaust modifications speeding along roads day and night that are causing massive disturbance to people & pets. And are a safety risk to the vulnerable. There is a general epidemic of this problem in London

@Sean McVerry no there isn’t. You are confusing motorcycles with the ilegal motor scooters & mopeds used by kids in certain areas. You cannot make a sweeping statement like that without hard evidence to prove it. The problem with Lime & Forest e-bikes is well documented, as is that of kids on ilegal ‘suped’ up mopeds. The vast majority of motorcycle riders are law abiding citizens just going about their daily lives.

@Peter A I would urge you to spend 10 minutes standing along Poynders Road, Balham Hill or Cavendish Road and tell me whether this is in an isolated problem or more common. The widespread use of aftermarket exhaust systems or modifications to existing exhaust systems on motorbikes is widespread. Lime and e bikes cause no such noise pollution and do not regularly speed along the roads due to restrictions placed on them by Lime, Forest, Voi etc

What exactly do you mean by “Motorbike nuisance”? Motorcycles are not a nuisance, my journey from Streatham Vale to Queen Mary’s Hospital this morning took 35 minutes leaving at 09:30. I doubt you could do that in a car even at midnight on Christmas Eve.
