The Employment Moving Bus is an exciting new idea we want to bring to life — a mobile community hub that delivers employment support, digital access, and hot meals directly to the people of Brixton. Our vision is to transform a bus into a safe, welcoming space that travels to local estates each week, helping residents create CVs, apply for jobs, claim benefits, and regain confidence — all while enjoying a hot, nutritious meal.
This project was born from the growing need we see every day in Brixton. Many residents want to work or study but simply lack the tools, access, or encouragement to do so. The closure of community centres, the rising cost of living, and limited digital access have left people isolated and unsure where to turn. By taking our service directly to estates, we remove those barriers — bringing opportunity, care, and hope right to people’s doorsteps.

The Employment Moving Bus will:
• Visit Brixton estates weekly, providing free access to laptops, Wi-Fi, and employment guidance
• Offer one-to-one support for CVs, job applications, and benefit claims

• Deliver digital skills and job-readiness workshops
• Create volunteer roles for local residents to build skills and confidence
